Hi! I am Jules Wiegand. I love Jesus and Photography (in that order:). Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy browsing through my life and photography. I live in Louisville, but i would love to do your destination wedding or event or mission trip.. so, please fly me somewhere!
I am excited to celebrate your life moments with you – whether that be your engagement, wedding, senior pictures, family or baby pictures – love the babies:) i pretty much love it all!! ha.. that’s a lot of love going on. Now i feel like singing – it’s good for you that i don’t have audio on this blog!!

Imagine this: you walk in your gorgeous wedding gown barefoot in the sand towards your handsome husband to be. The sky is a deep blue and the water turquoise. The breeze from the ocean just blows through your hair perfectly so that you look like a supermodel :). All the while, you hear the water lap against the shore. Are you ready.. well let’s go!! I have always wanted to be the photographer of a destination wedding in Cancun!! Mostly because i have never been to Cancun and i have always wanted to shoot a wedding on the beach with the surf and sand. Beach weddings have got to be the best. And the pictures are amazing, i mean does the sky ever look bad in Cancun, i don’t think so! Nothing but blue skies .. i’m singing again :)
i just thought you would like to know where to find a whole lotta textures for free. Grunge, flower, pattern – pretty much any kind of texture but my favorite is of course- the grunge.

But i think the best is just to make your own grunge pictures :) So.. get those cameras out and get some textures.

Why am i there? Well I went to Chicago for the day to learn from “Mr. Tofurious” – Lawrence who taught all us wedding photographers some cool stuff that will be way helpful for my wedding photography business. So, happy i went!! I also met so many cool wedding photographers like Kenny Kim, who was so nice to offer to drive me to the airport, Jay Crihfield, who is a veteran in photography, Otto Rascon, so friendly and personable, Ray Pryor, used to be a web designer,Kameron Olds, way fun photographer, molly michels, we had so much fun with our iphonesPeter Garr, great guy – very knowledgeableKara Schultz who had such a joyful personality and Bob Davis (who btw: is also doing p90x – but he totally brought cookies to the meeting :) – don’t tell Tony Horton. Talk about awe struck – It was awesome to meet all these guys who have done so much already. I am just so thankful they are not grumpies as Dane Sanders says – they truly are generous and humble photographers ready to teach and give advice to those who are still wet behind the ears. I was thankful to meet all of them.
As a result of going to the photography conference, i have been able to network with so many more wedding photographers who i am looking forward to learning from and hopefully working with one day. Photographers like Jessie Cho, Marin Kristine, Miguel Pola, Chelsea Elizabeth – just to name a few :)
After we were brain dead from all the awesome information… we went out to replenish ourselves – by eating some deep dish chicago style pizza – YUM!!!

What do you think of when you think of fall? i think of warm sweaters, campfires and leaves. Oh.. the glorious leaves!! If you are from Louisville, this can be one of the prettiest times of the year. Although- i am definitely a summer girl.. i think fall is in the running. But only when the trees are just right. With all the rain this summer, i am hoping fall will be gorgeous!! If you are a photographer like moi, i hope you get outside to take some fall photos. In fact, if you take any – I’d love to see your fall pictures. Here is a little something to get you motivated.
a little side note – the longer the leaves take to fall, the colder the winter!! brr. So.. enjoy the fall. Have a smore for :)
Spent the day at Ryland Lakes – looking around and preparing for an event and wedding. I have some wonderful outdoor photos. And – i caught some pictures of some of the fun surroundings. Here are a few:

This past weekend was the first event for Lazy Z fishing.. a non-profit that my family started to honor my grandpa and teach kids who wouldn’t have the opportunity to learn how to fish. You may remember the whole story from a previous post. We had about 15 kids come out to learn to fish and they had a blast. I am the official event photographer for the family. That is what happens when a there is professional wedding photographer in the family. Ha – but i love it!! Ryland Lakes graciously allowed Lazy Z to use their facilities. With beautiful outdoor scenery like lakes and rolling hills, it was perfect for some outdoor photography. We had so much fun. Here are some of the event pictures.

Had a great time with the Lindemier family. We hung out in the back yard to get some great family pictures. Then went out of Oldham County to Shelbyville to get more photos at their family farm. It was beautiful for some outdoor pictures with a huge barn and big field. We had a great time.
Isn’t this little boy just so cute. He was full of energy – always on the run.

one of my best friends is prego!! and she is just so cute.. i absolutely love her belly. i pretty much talk to it and rub on it to find where that little precious boy is hiding. i was poking on his little butt yesterday (or maybe that was his leg or something) .. i love him and i can’t wait to see him. Here are some of the highlights of the maternity session in Crestwood!
