I just adore this couple!! I think you will fall in love with them as much as I did. Jenny asked me several months ago if I could do her wedding photography this September in Illinois, but because of some logistics I wasn’t sure I could do it. So, we decided I would just shoot her engagement session when both her fiance and her were in Louisville. At Thanksgiving, I realized I could work it out so I told Jenny, “I know this photographer that could do your wedding. Do you want me to hook you up with her? I think you will like her.” She said, post her photography website to my facebook and I will check her out. Immediately, I got a call and was asked if this was a joke. Haha.. so we both screamed and the rest is history! I’m so excited to share in their special day and also to get to know Michael a little better in the engagement photoshoot. We got special permission to go to this Louisville antique store for Jenny’s engagement session. The atmosphere was perfect and gave a great vintage feel with lots of fun props to make their engagement session extra fun and creative. Then, to make an even better day, it snowed!!!! We put on our winter gear and finished the love shoot in the snow. Let me just say, that it has been so difficult to chose my favorite photos. Jenny and Michael are just plain adorable and I so enjoyed watching their interactions and their relationship off and on camera. They are playful which suits my style of photography and they are giddy in love. They snuck kisses in when they thought I wasn’t looking and I must of heard a thousand I LOVE YOU’s as well. So sweet! Here are the faves of their rocking indoor/ outdoor engagement shoot. Vote for as many as you’d like and feel free to leave me some comment love. Seriously.. this is adorable!! By far, one of my absolute favorites!

My favorite part about doing family photography is creating fun memories and interactions for the family in the day. I want the professional photography experience to be a good one. I simply love it when personalities and relationships start to show in their family. Those always become my favorite photos. This is the Wood’s family who came to town from Florida to visit Louisville, KY. And why they were here, I was able to do a mini-photoshoot with their family. It was a great day with still a little snow but warm enough where we weren’t freezing. Here are some of my favorite photos of the day.

Meet the Beard Family! So enjoyed being their family photographer, especially since I was recording an important moment in their lives. Jacob, the youngest son, left just the other day to serve in the coast guard. You can only imagine what that might be like for his family to say goodbye to him for a period of time. I so enjoyed seeing the family connections and mutual love and respect in their family. They were even brave enough to go outside in this winter weather with the snow to capture some amazing photos on their farm. The best part is when I took them down to their old barn which was leaning to one side and the oldest said to me, “We have another barn that looks a lot better.” I laughed and said, ” No, this is exactly what I had in mind. It’s perfect.” It ended up being my favorite photo of the day. The photograph reminds me of Narnia. I could very easily see all three of them in that movie fighting off evil and befriending Aslan, the Lion. Can’t you?

What is it called when you take a beautiful bride and surround her with poinsettias and greenery right around Christmas? It’s a winter wedding with a wonderful Christmas theme.! Everything was just beautiful – from the candles, the Christmas tree and ornament decorations, the poinsettias, the Christmas lights and of course the bride :). I traveled from Louisville to Cincinnati to hang with the couple for a few days. I really enjoyed getting to know them and their friends – seriously, a lot of fun and an amazing couple!! In fact, I had some difficulty narrowing down the wedding and reception photos – with so many great dancing pictures it was hard to choose. This Cincinnati crew sure knows how to make a wedding fun!! Here are some of my favorite photos from the wedding and reception. Please feel free to vote on your favorites and to leave some comment love.
