I remember Andrew when he was in my 6th grade Sunday School. He was my size then… lol. Now, he’s a senior and he’s over 6 ft tall. He’s still a great young man though. He was always so respectful and kind and just generally a happy contented kid. He was such a joy to teach. And what an amazing blessing to see him all grown up. Still a wonderful and happy young man. We had a great time on his Senior Photography Session. We traveled all around the city of Louisville and found the perfect places for him. Here are some of my favorites of his Senior session.

I’ve known the Roberts family for quite some time when we all went to church together in Crestwood. They are one of the sweetest and kindest families I know. It’s funny how seeing a boy I used to know who is now young man.. makes me feel old. LOL. I guess that’s what happens when you used to be a youth minister. Yet, I love being with young people. They are just fearless and they are just so full of excitement about their future. It is a pleasure to get know these young people as they start to dream about what could be in their future. I for one, am for them and pray over each one that crosses my path. Here are some of my favorites from Payton’s Senior Photography session.

Shannon is a beach girl stuck in Louisville, KY. I feel ya, girl. So, what better place for a beach girl to get her Senior photos at than a boat dock. The day was wonderful being by the water and experiencing the wind off the river. Shannon and I got up super early so we could beat the hot summer heat and it was nice since hardly anyone was there. We kinda had the run of the place. Shannon is one of the most welcoming young women that I know. She is so likeable and I believe most people just feel comfortable around her. That’s a gift – to be approachable and to make people feel welcomed. In college I can just imagine, everyone hanging out in her dorm room and she makes her killer brownies – they will for sure be there. LOL. (me too :) Here are some of my favorites from Shannon’s Senior Photography Session on the Louisville Beach :) – er i mean boat dock. Vote for your favorites – ps. you can have more than one. I do!! :)

I first met Paige through the BFF Photoshoot that I did in the spring. Her and all her senior friends were so much fun and I am excited to be doing more of that group’s senior photos here soon. One thing you should know about Paige is that she gets giggly rather easily. Several times I would have her try to be serious only to have her cracking up seconds later. It’s pretty darn cute. As a matter of fact, she is pretty darn cute as well. I don’t even think she realizes how pretty she is.. but SHE IS!!! And a sweetheart to match! Hope you love her Senior Portraits just as much as I do!! She rocked the boots and hat….Seriously!! Vote for your faves :)

Billy is an awesome young man who has been through a lot in his life, but you wouldn’t know it. He is such a positive and easy going guy. Billy is also a photographer and headed to Western Kentucky University to study there – which I’ve heard Western is great school for photography. I am sure he will do awesome. Here are some of my faves from his Senior Portrait Session.

I had so much fun on this shoot! Samantha and her mom were so awesome. We literally went all around Louisville. The whole photo session has a great end of summer feel with a hint of vintage. Everything about this senior session just seemed to pump up my creativity. However, I believe this is the shoot that I got my dreaded poison oak exposure. Haha.. I guess there is always a price a pay to get great photos :) Here are some of my favorites of Samantha’s Photo Session:

BFF PHOTOSHOOT!! I love these type of sessions. I mean, c’mon girls.. you know we love getting dolled up and going out with the bff’s. So, why not do a photoshoot together! I absolutely love these sessions!! Here is a group of senior girls who are super close and wanted to commemorate their relationships with a photography session before they all went away for college. We had so much fun and they have been very antsy waiting for all their pictures to be done. I may or may not have gotten some threatening emails.. hahaha. Here you go girls!! Hope your last year as Seniors rocks!!

Andrew went to my old high school – Boone County in Florence, KY. It was so fun to go walking through the halls at Boone County High to see how things have changed. I was flooded with lots of crazy memories including the Donnie Flynn theme song, which means nothing to you unless you were there!! haha. I was so concerned with trying to be popular and cool back then. My mom informed me the other day that I wasn’t!! hahaha.. I might have thought I was at one point, but mom knows best. LOL. At least I have some fun memories. I wasn’t as level headed as Andrew is, that’s for sure. He’s just a content young man – that’s the best way I can describe him. His senior photography session was great! Here are some of my favorites. You can pick yours too!! (and yes, you can have more than one because I do!!)

64 votes // vote as favoriteThis is one of my favorite pictures for the endearment factor! This is a totally unprompted, unplanned photo. I was being silly as usual and thought it would be funny if Andrew would read a children’s book on the floor while all the reference books were behind him. Just as we got set up for the photo, in walks his little brother who didn’t see me at all and just walked over to his big brother and sat in his lap to look at the book. It was adorable! I told Andrew he had to read to him now. So we took a 10 minute break so that Andrew could read to his little brother. So sweet.

60 votes // vote as favoriteWe headed out to Little Britain Stables where he and his little brother have a horse and ride together. And wouldn’t you know it, I also took horse riding lessons there as a kid! Once again, I was remembering the goat that chased my cousin around and kept knocking him down. So much fun to be in familiar places!!

Like most teenage guys, Clark has a fascination with cars. However, not only does he admire vehicles, he also works on them. He is even restoring an old volkswagon beetle. I think that is pretty cool. We had a great time on his senior portrait session. We spent most of our time in LaGrange, KY (just north of Louisville). Here are some of the favorites from his senior photography session. Just a warning – there may be a few car photos.

I seem to get a lot of senior guys asking me to do their photo shoots. I think I realized why after this shoot. It just may be because of photos like these.
