Sneak peek

I just adore this couple!!  I think you will fall in love with them as much as I did.  Jenny asked me several months ago if I could do her wedding photography this September in Illinois, but because of some logistics I wasn’t sure I could do it.  So, we decided I would just shoot her engagement session when both her fiance and her were in Louisville.  At Thanksgiving, I realized I could work it out so I told Jenny, “I know this photographer that could do your wedding. Do you want me to hook you up with her? I think you will like her.”   She said, post her photography website to my facebook and I will check her out.  Immediately, I got a call and was asked if this was a joke.   Haha.. so we both screamed and the rest is history!  I’m so excited to share in their special day and also to get to know Michael a little better in the engagement photoshoot.   We got special permission to go to this Louisville antique store for Jenny’s engagement session.  The atmosphere was perfect and gave a great vintage feel with lots of fun props to make their engagement session extra fun and creative.  Then, to make an even better day, it snowed!!!!   We put on our winter gear and finished the love shoot in the snow.  Let me just say, that it has been so difficult to chose my favorite photos.   Jenny and Michael are just plain adorable and I so enjoyed watching their interactions and their relationship off and on camera.   They are playful which suits my style of photography and they are giddy in love.    They snuck kisses in when they thought I wasn’t looking and I must of heard a thousand I LOVE YOU’s as well.   So sweet!  Here are the faves of their rocking indoor/ outdoor engagement shoot.     Vote for as many as you’d like and feel free to leave me some comment love.   Seriously.. this is adorable!!  By far, one of my absolute favorites!

Does anyone know how much I love sun flare?   Seriously, I think it’s a disease.. i really can’t get enough of it.  This is the first of many you may find in their engagement photoshoot!  Just thought I would warn you.

This may or may not have been one of my wacky ideas.   Iphone meets rotary phone or what I like to call contemporary vs. vintage :)  Humor me!

Btw.. Michael knows the name of every animal.   I said, go stand under that ram.  He corrected me with the specific name.. haha!  Smarty pants!

A little something that you may not know about Jenny, but she loves costumes.  She collects them!!  I thought it might be fun to play with some vintage clothing and play dress up as well.

Jenny and Michael were so excited that it snowed that we had to do some snowy engagement photos!!   The blue skies made winter in Louisville so beautiful, even if it was freezing outside.

Jenny and Michael love their winter hats, so this snowy winter day was a perfect way to show them off.

There wasn’t quite enough snow to make a snowman, so they were happy to stand in.

I can’t wait til their wedding this September!!  For more of their photos and for ordering, click on Jules Wiegand Wedding Photographer.

Megan celebrated her birthday with me by doing a fun portrait photography session.  Megan went with me to Kenya this past summer and we quickly became “bff’s to be”.  She is funny and quirky and just plain adorable.   I always laugh when I am with her.  Here’s some from my fun photo session with Megan..

A little fun fact about Megan – she loves barns.   So, I went through some of the backwoods of Louisville to look for the perfect outdoor setting.  We found it – barns, dock, pond and a gorgeous field.   Such a natural setting for a natural beauty.   Seriously she is a natural beauty .. i didn’t do too much with these photos.  Don’t hate.. she’s just that pretty.   You can’t hate her anyway.. her personality is just too cute.   Try not to smile back at her…

Then we found this yummy dock to make some album covers.  You know, album covers for when she makes it big!! We all need album covers just in case :)

Now, i don’t know if you can or even if you are allowed to fall in love with a field, but I did!!  We totally just stumbled upon this, we climbed a fence, hiked a bit and here it was… sheer amazing fall beauty!!   I wanted to stay here all day.   I think if the Sound of Music was set in Kentucky in the fall, she would be frolein Maria.

Because I love this field, I can’t just stop with one photo…haha.   This next series, consists of me asking Megan to run and play in this field.  The bottom left corner is one of the times, she tripped or lost her shoe.  Yes, she is even cute when she falls so I had to include it.

After all that running, I had her rest in the nice green grass where it just so happens that these beautiful yellow flowers were growing.  :)  i may have put them there.. there’s no telling!! If you say, this looks twilight… she will love you for that.  She happens to like that book.

These next pictures began with this statement. Me (hesistantly).. ‘well. i have an idea but i’m not sure about it… ‘ (I was kinda scared to even suggest it. ) She said, oh what is it? Me… “well. i would love to have to her above the family sign but that may be too scary.” Mom. “She barely moves- she will be fine. That is a great idea.” I was pretty excited.. and mom was completely right she didn’t even move.. except to cry eventually from being on a hard surface. And they are some of my favorite pictures.
