Sarah has an artist’s heart.  In fact, so does her father.. which means they think out of the box.  I love it!!  They had chickens in their back yard and they live in a little place in Louisville known as the highlands – haha, they are in the perfect part of town for artists.  Having your own chickens is so smart because they have fresh eggs to eat that aren’t tainted by antibiotics or hormones or anything else we have decided to give chickens to increase egg production.   We had to include the chickens in the senior photo shoot.

Their backyard is so fun, with a white picket fence, a hen house and of course the bowling ball garden :)

Sarah loves to paint.  Her favorite things to paint are illustrations for children.   We went to the Cherokee Park for inspiration.

I’ve known Kyle since he was in 6th grade and now he is a SENIOR. Wow.. i feel old. I feel even older for saying that .. haha. His family is one of my faves… a few years ago, we had a church photo directory made with pictures of all the families. Kyle and his family showed up in crazy outfits… stripes and checks and everything else you can imagine. They still have it up in their house. Haha… they are so much fun.. so i knew my Photography session with Kyle was going to be fun!! Here is a glimpse of my senior shoot with Kyle… complete with canoe, cowboy hat and tennis racket.. :) Have a great Senior Year Kyle!!!

Defined as something unusual — perhaps worthy of collecting. Over the holidays, i got rather caught up in Knick Knacks and such. But i have never been a girl who buys knick knacks.. the closest i have come is a candle. I go to the store.. i see these cute things.. but then i think.. it serves no purpose.. it has no function other than to sit there. So, i walk away.. with no knick and no knack. I think i have just always been a little more frugal with my money.. only buying what you need or what is functional. Sooo.. I’m thinking this year.. i might just have to purchase a knick or a knack to put around the my Louisville home. And i will just enjoy as it was intended .. to just look at and like it. They also seem to warm up a home too. Sooo.. i took a few photos of some around my Mom’s house.
i mean, it’s hard not to like Christmas Knick Knacks!!

Ha. So, this year.. i am going to try and make a frivolous purchase. One that serves no purpose or function. Who am i kidding.. i can’t do it! But i want to :) soon.
