Hi! I am Jules Wiegand. I love Jesus and Photography (in that order:). Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy browsing through my life and photography. I live in Louisville, but i would love to do your destination wedding or event or mission trip.. so, please fly me somewhere!

I am excited to celebrate your life moments with you – whether that be your engagement, wedding, senior pictures, family or baby pictures – love the babies:) i pretty much love it all!! ha.. that’s a lot of love going on. Now i feel like singing – it’s good for you that i don’t have audio on this blog!!

Tara + Taylor | Louisville Engagement Photographer |Rustic Photography

I have been looking forward to posting this engagement photo shoot ever since I photographed these two. Tara had so many fun ideas and props to play with – I was seriously in sensory overload. Tara’s modern rustic style just matches my style perfectly. The session was so much fun – we only stopped because the sun went down!! Here are some of my favorites – there are many I must warn you.

Yes, i know!! Their shoot is ridiculously awesome!! They totally rocked it!! Aside from being supermodels, they are also a lot of fun… who else would dance in a church pew. Footloose part 3?? I think so!

Jenny + Michael | Vintage Store |Louisville, KY Photographer

I just adore this couple!! I think you will fall in love with them as much as I did. Jenny asked me several months ago if I could do her wedding photography this September in Illinois, but because of some logistics I wasn’t sure I could do it. So, we decided I would just shoot her engagement session when both her fiance and her were in Louisville. At Thanksgiving, I realized I could work it out so I told Jenny, “I know this photographer that could do your wedding. Do you want me to hook you up with her? I think you will like her.” She said, post her photography website to my facebook and I will check her out. Immediately, I got a call and was asked if this was a joke. Haha.. so we both screamed and the rest is history! I’m so excited to share in their special day and also to get to know Michael a little better in the engagement photoshoot. We got special permission to go to this Louisville antique store for Jenny’s engagement session. The atmosphere was perfect and gave a great vintage feel with lots of fun props to make their engagement session extra fun and creative. Then, to make an even better day, it snowed!!!! We put on our winter gear and finished the love shoot in the snow. Let me just say, that it has been so difficult to chose my favorite photos. Jenny and Michael are just plain adorable and I so enjoyed watching their interactions and their relationship off and on camera. They are playful which suits my style of photography and they are giddy in love. They snuck kisses in when they thought I wasn’t looking and I must of heard a thousand I LOVE YOU’s as well. So sweet! Jenny and Michael were so excited that it snowed that we had to do some snowy engagement photos!! The blue skies made winter in Louisville so beautiful, even if it was freezing outside.

Emily + Luke | Louisville Wedding Photographer

One of the best parts of being a wedding photographer is taking engagement photos. The engagement photo session allows the photographer to get to know the bride and groom and get a feel for who they are before the wedding. I also find that engagement sessions helps the bride and groom become more comfortable with their wedding photographer so that you end up with some amazing shots. That’s what happened with Emily and Luke as they began to be comfortable with me and get creative and make suggestions by their end of their shoot. So enjoyed getting to know them. And i am looking forward to their Louisville WEDDING in just a few weeks!!!

We spent the day in Louisville and had so much fun. Luke really surprised me when he showed up with his uniform on.. it totally changed the game plan for the day! And we went to Old Louisville and St. James Park to match what he was wearing with the best background. Here are some of my favorites.

Engaged!! | Jessie and Ross

I have known these two since before they were a couple. I have been able to watch them from Ross pursuing Jessie to Jessie getting all flutter-pated about Ross. (flutter-pated is when you can’t stop grinning and you talk in a high voice). Talk to some couples who are falling in love and you will see what i mean :). It’s adorable!! I even helped get the house ready so that Ross could propose :) !!!! So, here they are engaged and about to get married on JULY 31!!! woo hoo!! Yeah.. it’s great – i am so happy for them. I am looking forward to celebrating with them at the wedding. Here are some of the fun photos from their Louisville Engagement Photo shoot :) We went to the Mellwood Art Center to play around. Love it there.. such a fun environment!!

Guess who's Engaged!! | Matt and Jordan

About 6 weeks ago, i get a call from Matt. He is going to propose to his girlfriend and wants me to be there on the day of the big event. I was extremely honored, of course!! I had to be careful to keep it quiet. He planned out the day and we met up at Anchorage Park in Prospect, Ky – which is just outside of Louisville. Prospect has a beautiful small town and is a great place for photographers to do surprise engagement photo shoots, as well :)!! I arrived just after the proposal and they were still all smiley and giddy. I love those moments!! … when you can’t talk without a big grin on your face!! We went to the place where he proposed,( he said.. he cried when he proposed). AWWW… Jordan, he’s a good one!! And to top it off, he scheduled a photographer to commemorate the day.. I say he’s doing pretty darn good!!! i was so happy to celebrate their engagement with them!!!
