They just kinda knew once they were reunited that this was it.. so now their engaged and preparing to say I do.. forever. Here are some photos from the Ryland Engagement photography session.

Look who’s engaged. Amy contacted me about a month ago to do her wedding and engagement photos. She is getting married in one month!!!! Soo.. we hurried and got her scheduled ASAP!! Had such a great day all around Louisville. The weather was a little crazy – rain then sunshine then rain again.. haha. That’s the Louisville River valley for you :). Yet, we were able to get a great photographs despite the Louisville weather. Looking forward to her wedding which is coming up so soon!! Here are some of my favorite engagement photos.

One of the best parts of being a wedding photographer is taking engagement photos. The engagement photo session allows the photographer to get to know the bride and groom and get a feel for who they are before the wedding. I also find that engagement sessions helps the bride and groom become more comfortable with their wedding photographer so that you end up with some amazing shots. That’s what happened with Emily and Luke as they began to be comfortable with me and get creative and make suggestions by their end of their shoot. So enjoyed getting to know them. And i am looking forward to their Louisville WEDDING in just a few weeks!!!
We spent the day in Louisville and had so much fun. Luke really surprised me when he showed up with his uniform on.. it totally changed the game plan for the day! And we went to Old Louisville and St. James Park to match what he was wearing with the best background. Here are some of my favorites.

Amanda is the bride that has got everything together.. she booked me as her wedding photographer about 16 months in advance! Her Louisville wedding is coming this October and I just know it will be fabulous!!! We had an amazing engagement photography session at Yew Dell Gardens, just outside of Louisville. The flowers and barn style buildings at Yew Dell made for great photographs. Here are some of my favorites:

Me (hesistantly).. ‘well. i have an idea but i’m not sure about it… ‘ (I was kinda scared to even suggest it. ) She said, oh what is it? Me… “well. i would love to have to her above the family sign but that may be too scary.” Mom. “She barely moves- she will be fine. That is a great idea.” I was pretty excited.. and mom was completely right she didn’t even move.. except to cry eventually from being on a hard surface. And they are some of my favorite pictures.

Had so much fun being the wedding photographer for this Louisville couple. We started off at Duncan Memorial in Oldham County and from there went to Kavanaugh Retreat Center for the Reception. A wonderful wedding.. i cried a couple of times. I wasn’t the only one.. :) Just simple and beautiful.. that is how i would describe this Louisville wedding.
